The Knight Extreme's superior dependability comes from the DISCsystem. It uses Full Plastic Jacket technology along with 209 primer. It's easy to load - just press the primer into the fat end of the disc, drop theDISC into the opened bolt, then close the bolt to seal the action. the plastic disc keeps the primer safe from the elements and eliminates misfires, even in rain and snow. We tested this system for reliability, and even after being submerged for an hour the system never failed.
The Knight Extreme bolt-action muzzleloader works like a modern centerfire but is legal for extended black powder rifle seasons. Its synthetic stock and plush recoil pad handle kick back well.
