Late-Season Iowa Whitetail

In December of 2007, Jeremy relied on his Knight Disc Extreme .50 cal to take down a massive Iowa buck while deer hunting during Iowa's late muzzleloader hunting season. "It was a cold day and snowing heavily, but I was able to get the job done with 150 grains of Hogdon Triple Seven and a Barnes 175 grain Red Hot bullet," Jeremy remembered.

Jeremy took his prize buck at 80 yards and the deer made it about 100 yards before going down. "Due to the inclement weather, I was not sure exactly how big he was," Jeremy said. "When I finally got up to him, I was excited! He is my best muzzleloader buck with a gross score of 170"

Living in Iowa, Jeremy hunts a lot of rough weather, and his Disc Rifle has never failed him. "It's my favorite gun to take in the field - regardless of the season,” he said.
