Joel's Fall Turkey
For Joel, wild turkey hunting in the fall offers just as much excitement as spring. With lowering temperatures and falling foliage, the season requires patience to wait on groups of gobblers that aren't always social.
Equipped with his Knight Muzzleloader Shotgun, Joel hit the woods to search for fresh wild turkey scratchings. When he found an area sure to hold turkeys, he set up a call. After a few hours in the woods, Joel eventually proved his endurance could stand up to the challenge.
With the help of his Knight Muzzleloading Shotgun, Joel harvested a 21 pound turkey with a 10-inch beard and 1-inch spurs. Wild turkey hunters like Joel know that for a successful fall hunt, putting in time for stalking is essential. And when a turkey is on the radar, hunters know they have one shot to bring home the prize.
