Prize Gould's Wild Turkey
On a late-April turkey hunt in Chihuahua, Mexico, Richard harvested a Gould for the record books. The day of his hunt was clear but windy, and Richard brought his Knight Muzzleloading Shotgun. His equipment didn't let him down. With the help of his trusty shotgun, Richard shot his Gould wild turkey from 30 yards.
Richard had done his research, and he knew about the Gould's turkey: With long legs, these native Mexican birds can run quickly and often dodge the bullet. But it's worth the effort once they're shot— the Gould's turkey is the largest game bird in North America.
To prepare for his Mexico turkey hunt, Richard loaded his Knight Rifles Muzzleloader Shotgun with #4 shot and 110 grains of loose powder. His planning paid off with a prize Gould's wild turkey.
